The Montclair Scholarship Fund (MSF) has awarded scholarships to Montclair High School graduating seniors with demonstrated financial need for more than 60 years. MSF relies on donations from community members. In addition to its many named scholarships, this year MSF awarded five new scholarships, including two from Montclair High School alumni (Class of 1989 30th Year Reunion Scholarship and the MHS Class of 1983 Memorial Scholarship). Other new MSF scholarships recognize the contributions of community members.
The Alica and Peter Giuffra Scholarship Award was created by Project Graduation 2018 and the MHS Class of 2018 to honor Peter and Alica’s decades of service to the MHS community and their enthusiastic support for its traditions. The recipients of these awards were chosen for the ways in which they have enhanced the spirit, vibrancy and vitality of MHS.
At MHS’s annual awards night, held on June 6, 2019, MSF awarded over 65 scholarships to deserving members of the Class of 2019 who will be attending colleges and universities around the country.
